Week 2 - Lineup of the Week

The Lineup of the week is based on DraftKings salaries.

My Lineup of the week for Week 2 is:

QB - Lamar Jackson (@ HOU) - $8,200

RB - Austin Ekeler (vs KC) - $6,500

RB - Derrick Henry (vs JAX) - $7,900

WR - Marquise Brown (@ HOU) - $6,200

WR - CeeDee Lamb (vs ATL) - $4,700

WR - Anthony Miller (vs NYG) - $5,200

TE - Jonnu Smith (vs JAX) - $4,200

FLEX - Antonio Gibson (RB) (@ ARI) - $4,300

DST - Rams (@ PHI) - $2,800

Rationale: Going into Week 2, I'm feeling confident that this lineup can do some damage in tournaments. As a GPP play, I wanted to fit in some cheaper options that can truly pop for big games, especially at the wide receiver position. With that said, I think CeeDee Lamb ($4,700) and Anthony Miller ($5,200) are great options at discounted price tags. Lamb faces a very beatable secondary in the Falcons in a game that Vegas is projecting to be a shootout (O/U - 50.5). Miller, too, has a fantastic matchup and against a porous Giants secondary. I think Trubisky looks his way often in this one. At the tight end position, I paid down for a guy that will provide tremendous value in week 2 by selecting Jonnu Smith with a salary of $4,300. He was targeted 7 times by Ryan Tannehill and even caught a touchdown. I expect Tannehill to rely on him even more going forward with A.J. Brown out for multiple weeks, leading me to believe that Jonnu Smith can return great value. Going with some cheaper options afforded me the opportunity to pay up for some big name guys in this Sunday's slate who I am projecting to have huge fantasy weeks. I went with what should be a very productive stack in a game with a very high over/under total of 53.5. Give me the Lamar Jackson (8,200) and Marquise Brown ($6,200) stack to pile on the points in Week 2 vs. the Houston Texans. At running back, I was also able to pay up for some of the bigger names for week 2. Ekeler ($6,500) should be a great option against a Chiefs team that should have a lead for the majority of that game. I expect Ekeler's passing game work to get back to a level of what we saw last year as the Chargers play catch up against their divisional foe. I was insanely happy to also be able to afford Derrick Henry at his high price tag of $7,900. The Titans play the Jags horrible rushing defense, which means Henry should pay off big time and get plenty of touches in a game where Tennessee is favored by over a touchdown (Titans -8). In my flex spot, I had some decent options and went with a guy that could have a breakout fantasy week in Antonio Gibson ($4,300) vs. the Arizona Cardinals. A negative game script that has the Washington Football Team behind should favor Antonio Gibson getting more work than last week, as he should be the pass catching specialist at the running back position for Washington. At D/ST, I paid down for the Rams ($2,800) vs. the Eagles. With Philly's offensive line issues, I expect a lot of pressure and a handful of sacks by Aaron Donald and company on Sunday.

Good luck in Week 2!
